The Rickel family established the Molly M. Rickel Research Library in memory of their mother, who died of pancreatic cancer on September 28, 1994.  The library's purpose was to give patients and their families a comfortable place to obtain information to help their physical well-being and to help them cope with the emotional aspects of a critical illness.
